We’re The Urban Spice Shop – a company dedicated to putting the flavours of the world, at your fingertips.
You see, a lifetime of cooking has provided us with a passion for fresh flavoursome spices. This passion combined with the knowledge that there was a gap in the market, is what prompted us to start The Urban Spice Shop: making high-quality spices from around the world, directly accessible to our customers.
We do this by sourcing, testing (and tasting!) authentic seasonings from across the globe to ensure that only the finest ingredients make it into your kitchens.

Our spices are available as whole,powder and flakes, but regardless of which consistency you’re looking for, our range includes flavours which satisfy each of the five tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami!
We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings, and as our herbs grow – so does our business. We now have offices based in both Sri Lanka and Singapore – a country where food is as much a part of its national identity, as it is its obsession. So it’s only natural that the devotion that Singaporeans have to culinary excellence, would rub off on us.
We don’t accept less than the best, which is why all parts of our business adhere to stringent quality standards – and not just the high standards that we set for ourselves! We’re Organic Certified, which means that we also stick to the strict standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Organic Program (USDA NOP) and the European Union (EU).
As a result, we’re pretty stringent when it comes to our products. We carefully pick the best suppliers to ensure that only the highest-quality grades make it into our packaging. After all, it’s our name on the line and we want our name to be one that your taste buds can trust!
Because of our thorough processes, we are able to track all of our spices back to the source. Which means that we are able to work directly with our suppliers to create sustainable futures, and you, our customers, can be confident that you’ll always get a consistent grade when it comes to our spices and flavourings.
We’re currently serving customers in the hospitality industry, but pretty soon our small (but mighty!) packets will be available for orders online so that you can recreate the diverse flavours of global cuisines in the comfort of your own home!
